| The Qaitbey Fort is located on the site of the Legendary Lighthouse of Ptolemy II. The fort Qaitbey Light house was built in 238BC got destroyed in an earthquake in 14th century. The Qaitbey Fort now can be seen as a Grey Stone fort built on the remains of the light house. From the top of the fort, you would get a panoramic view of Alexandria. The Lighthouse of Alexandria Tomb is a wonderful attraction for a tourist and that will be added to all Egyptian tour Packages. |
